The white cat smirked as he knocked on the door. The Nowhere T.V. jacket he'd worn giving him the feeling of a true sneak, a demon, able to decieve any prey. He pulled out his knife and looked at his reflection momentarily. He blinked as a small rabbit girl opened the door. "Ummm....hello?" She said meekly. "Hello there little child, my name is Sylus Spatt. And I'm an independant film director from Nowhere T.V.!" He put on his fake grin and gave her his fake expression. She still didn't look one hundred percent convinced. "Are your parents home?" "No mister....mum's very sick and Dad's.....well...." She teared up. "Oooohhh, I'm sorry. Forget I ever asked...." He said softly as he held her for a moment in his fake embrace. "Shhh...It's alright....you must be a very strong child to stay here alone...." He said sweetly as he wiped a tear from her eye. "W..well....this IS Nowhere....all kinds of creepy stuff happens in Nowhere." She replied jokingly as she let him in.

A few minutes later they were sitting in her kitchen, enjoying some tea. The whole time Sylus stared and fantacized about how he'd end her life. He could gut her while she screamed for her dying mommy, or he could violate her and strangle her with his tie. Or maybe he would just slit her throat and mock her for being a stupid girl. "Mr. Spatt? Are you alright? You look sick..." The rabbit girl said softly as she moved his director's cap to feel his temperature. "....you're so cold." She said with a shiver. ".....I leave the A.C. on in my car at all times sweety." "Oh...but....I thought independant directors drove Nowhere T.V. vans...." She replied, a bit nervous now. "I don't need a dirty rental van. My car is fine." He coughed as he slipped out of his fake persona for a moment. "Actually, I'd like to film.....you." "Me?" "Yes....you're so strong...." He hissed. "We'll film in your basement..."

The rabbit girl smiled as she walked into the basement with Sylus, dusting off a few things before helping him set up a camera and an....odd....looking chair he brought. "Now, sit in the chair honey." He cooed as he helped her sit in the device. She giggled as he strapped her down. "Gee Mr. Spatt....you sure are....Mr.Spatt?" The rabbit girl gasped as her new 'friend's' expression turned dark and angry, like a mad beast. "....stupid bitch. STUPID BITCH." He laughed as he sat back on some boxes and turned on the camera. "Hello everyone in Nowhere, my name is Sylus Spatt, you may know me better as Sylus the Snuff Director." He cackled as the rabbit girl screamed and struggled, her bonds holding her tight. "For your sick entertainment, I will now MUTILATE this child!!!" Sylus gigged as he pulled out his knife. "Any lasts words?" "....can you tell me a story?" He blinked. "W...what?" "Tell me a story like daddy used to...."

Sylus stared at the girl in shock. No 'PLEASE DON'T KILL ME' or 'MOMMY HELP'....tell her a story? He knew he had to oblige. He always gave his victims one last thing before he finished them off. "....I'll tell you the story of Katz. How he managed to spread terror and chaos throughout Nowhere." He snarled. So he told her the story as his father told him many years ago. "Wait Mr. Spatt. I know a better story. The story of one Great Fusilli." He smirked and sat back down as she told him the all too infamous story of Fusilli, who, like Katz, terrorized Nowhere. They spoke for hours, telling eachother of different events in Nowhere's history. But the rabbit girl noticed that Sylus skipped one...."....Mr. Spatt. What about the last of the Starmakers?"

Sylus's eyes went wide. That story.....it held so many memories for him. The rabbit quickly noticed a change in his expression.....one of sadness. "....In this tale, a starmaking squid sacrifices himself for his lover." "...please stop....." "And that squid's mate, carrying his children, flees to Earth." "PLEASE....STOP." "There she meets a kind woman and her dog, who wish to help her...." The rabbit teared up as she continued, Sylus held his head as if he were in pain. "But  then the woman's greedy husband sells the squid out for money and fame!" She screamed. "And the government steps in and treats the squid like-" "...an item...another specimen...and seperates her children from her..." Sylus fell to his knees. "But the dog re-unites them, and the children escape while the mother..." The rabbit struggled not to sob. "....she dies." Sylus finished as a tear dripped down his face. "That story....no....." "I can see it in your face Mr. Spatt....you're like the male squid." "PLEASE GIRL! STOP!" "You sacrificed yourself for someone didn't you?...But...." She watched as his expression changed to sorrow. "....she left me. She left me to suffer....and I....I killed her."

The rabbit girl fought back tears. "You're hurt." He snarled at her. "That god damned story....I told it to her on our last date....and I cried. So she laughed at me." He hissed as he stabbed his knife into the wall. "You girl....you're much stronger than I was....you can tell the story with a straight face...even when close to death....you ruined my scene." He stood up and shut off the camera. "....I can't publish a ruined scene.....you don't deserve to be an actor in my snuff films." He fought back tears of his own as he untied her and walked upstairs. She chased him. "NO! PLEASE! MR. SYLUS!" She grabbed his sweater. "....what?" ".....you forgot your knife...."

She ran back downstairs and retrieved the weapon, noticing an inscription: "Together, we will make the stars in the night sky shine. I love you. ~Sylus" She went back upstairs and handed it to him. "....maybe someday, if you go to heaven like the starmaker.....she'll forgive you and understand that....you were hurting so much...." He stared at his own blade before taking it from her and handing her a large wad of money in return. ".....tell your mother that Sylus Spatt wishes her well....and please girl....don't forget that story." He wiped his own tears from his eyes as he walked back out and jumped in his car. And as he drove off for his next scene, he prayed. He prayed that he'd meet more strong people like her.

An introduction (Sort of) to my Courage the Cowardly Dog fan character: Sylus Spatt. A snuff film director with a very complicated past. This is another: "Can't sleep so I'll type instead." Story....and besides, The Last of the Starmakers is one of the saddest cartoon moments I've seen in a while. In all honesty, it's one of those cartoon moments that nearly had me in tears for the music alone.

In this story I also tried to make the episodes mentioned actually seem like real events to these specific characters, kind of like some sort of Bible that they follow and try to learn from.

Absolutely no bitching or spam comments please.

Sylus Spatt and this Rabbit girl are (c) of me.
